Beginner-Improver (level 1-2) Pilates: No previous experience is required. You'll learn the Pilates technique of deep core engagement, spine alignment and lateral thoracic breathing as well as beginner level exercises both standing and on the mat. Max number of people per class is 10 to ensure plenty of individual attention.

Improver-Intermediate (2-3) and Intermediate-Advanced (3-4) Pilates: Prior experience is necessary. You'll continue to learn both classical and modern Pilates exercises, standing and on the mat. Max number of clients per class is 12 (+max 3 via zoom).  The Level 2-3 and 3-4 Pilates can also be attended via Zoom if you don't live in Kirkcaldy. You can book those classes under Online classes below.

Barre (45min) and Barre+Core (55min): Feel graceful while exercising! Both Barre classes start with ballet inspired toning exercises for the lower and upper body done mid-floor and at the ballet barre (in the hall we use chairs), while incorporating the principles of Pilates core engagement and postural alignment. Barre+Core also has a core-focused Pilates session on the mat, performed like a dance to the flow of the music, at a faster pace compared to your normal mat Pilates class. Barre is suitable for all levels including beginners and no previous experience is needed in Pilates or ballet. Previous Pilates experience is essential for Barre+Core, no prior ballet experience is required though.

Irish dance: Anna taught Irish dance for 13 years before she moved on to teaching Pilates. After a 7-year break she's dusting off her dance shoes once more! You'll learn beginner level dances such as the Light Reel and Light Jig. We only do soft shoe dances to begin with, so you don't need to purchase the hard shoes. You can wear trainers or soft ballet shoes. Great cardio, great for your bones and great for lower body and core strength! It will take holding your core engagement and posture from Pilates to a whole new level! No previous dance experience required.

Location: All classes are now taught at 5th Fife Scout Group, 10 Dunnikier Rd, Kirkcaldy KY1 2RU.
