Anna started her dance and fitness journey with Irish dancing in 2004 in Finland. Between 2006-2009 she was actively performing and teaching. In 2009 she left Finland to study a degree in physiology in the University of Dundee in Scotland.
The drive to dance and teach Irish dance persisted, resulting in her starting her own school, Irish Dance Studio in 2011. She graduated with BSc(Hons) Physiological Sciences in 2013 and started a full-time job with Dundee University as a laboratory management technician. The same year she expanded Irish Dance Studio and changed the name to Dundee Dance Studios offering a variety of dance styles. Anna started her Pilates teacher training in 2015, completing her advanced Pilates mat instructor diploma in 2016 with FutureFit in London. Anna then moved to directing the school and teaching Pilates and Irish Dance full time and had two studio locations in Dundee.
In December 2019 Anna closed Dundee Dance Studios on Brown St in Dundee in order to fully focus on her Pilates career. The North Isla St studios were rebranded as Anna McLean Pilates Studio, offering high quality Pilates, Barre and Yoga classes.
Dancing from the age of 3, Rachel started her training in the North-west of England, taking exams in Ballet, Modern, National and Tap as a member of the British Ballet Organisation. She graduated from Leeds Beckett University in 2016 with (BA) Hons degree in Dance.
Rachel has since relocated to Dundee where she is teaching a variety of dance styles and performing arts classes across Dundee, Perth and Fife, including aerial hoop and circus. She started assisting and teaching dance classes at Anna's Dundee Dance Studios in 2016. In 2017 Rachel completed her teacher training course in Progressing Ballet Technique, as well as gaining a Teachers Diploma in Flexibility. In 2018 she gained her Advanced Mat Pilates teacher qualifications with FutureFit in Manchester and commenced to teach Pilates and Barre classes for Dundee Dance Studios. In 2019 Rachel completed her BBO Level 6 Diploma in Dance Teaching graduating with a Distinction, and Anna promoted her the principal children's dance teacher. When Dundee Dance Studios closed, she took over Dundee Dance Studios kids classes , running them under her own new dance school, Rachel Harris School of Dance in January 2020.
Christine is a Pilates instructor based in Dundee. She started practicing over 10 years ago and quickly became passionate about the benefits the practice can bring to each and every person. Christine began her journey to become an instructor in 2015 and completed a Mat Pilates Level 3 qualification with the Energywise Academy in Edinburgh.
Christine has been teaching since January 2016. Her classes are designed to suit all levels. Christine uses variations and modifications designed to allow every participant to benefit from the practice. Christine’s passion to promote and educate on the benefits of a regular Pilates practice continues to drive her teaching and her classes bring people together within a community.
Maureen is originally from Canada and has had the privilege of living all over the world before recently finding her new home in Dundee. She has been a teacher in various capacities throughout her life, from instructing skiing in the Canadian mountains, to teaching primary school children in Ghana and now teaching yoga wherever she can. Maureen started practicing over 20 years ago, and was hooked immediately. She loves the way this practice brings peace radiance to so many areas of her life. Maureen enjoys the challenge and the physical and mental shift that yoga creates, and loves being upside-down as much as possible!
She practiced and trained in Ashtanga and Vinyasa with Karen Kirkness and later went on to be qualified in her Avid Yogi YTT 200 hrs. Maureen then lived and taught yoga in Edinburgh at Meadowlark from 2013 until her move to Dundee in 2019.
